Mountain Meadows Named Number One
Retirement Community in the West

ASHLAND, OR - Just a few months after being named the "Best Active Retirement community in America", by the National Council on Seniors’ Housing, Southern Oregon’s Mountain Meadows was honored with the Gold Nugget Grand Award as the best active adult retirement community in the Western United States at the Western Builders Show in San Francisco this past Friday (June 25).

The gold Nugget Grand Award is the oldest and largest awards program of its kind in America. The award honors creative achievements in architectural design and land use planning for all types of projects in the Western U.S. and the Pacific Rim.

A national panel of jurors, representing architects, planners and builders, assessed retirement communities across the Western U.S. and chose Mountain Meadows for the Grand Award on its aesthetic merit, innovation and effectiveness in design/planning.
